Walker sends out conspiracy theory lackey to stall FBI “John Doe” investigation that continues to boil. It’s been pretty obvious that the database holding signatures of those who signed the Walker recall petition are becoming more about McCarthyistic techniques to make it a black list proving that the signatory is not a sucker for Walker (4/12)
Republican "War On Women" Is Not A Left-Wing Invention. The Dane County Democratic Party (web site) hosted a Gubernatorial Candidate Forum at the Concourse Hotel in Madison featuring Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, Wisconsin Secretary of State Doug La Follette and Wisconsin State Senator Kathleen Vinehout (4/12).

Republican "War On Women" Is Not A Left-Wing Invention. Right-wing media are claiming that a Republican "war on women" is "phony" and "invented" by the left to distract attention from issues such as the economy and gas prices. But Republicans throughout the country have indeed pushed a plethora of legislation during the past few years that would result in limiting women's reproductive rights, access to health care access, and access to equal pay; moreover, right-wing media themselves launched a bullying campaign against Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke after she testified in favor of expanded contraception coverage. What is going on? If you need to know what’s wrong with American conservatism in the early 21st century you have only to look at their view of the Girl Scouts. Big Changes at VOICES!
been working hard this year and have a lot to share. First and foremost,
a while back, we expanded our territory and no longer primarily target
and write for the Allied Dunns Marsh Community. With all the action in
Wisconsin politics over the past year, VOICES has become more
issues-driven, sharing news and views you may not see on television, but
that impact all communities.
We have been publishing a 16 page paper this year. There’s too much going on to not expand! VOICES will publish at least monthly in 2012, something we did not regularly do since we started VOICES in 2006. We are striving to blend new digital media and formats with traditional news print. Our web presence has expanded and is evolving too.
We keep hearing that important stories are not being reported in this community by the "big players" in radio, TV, and print. Or if they are being reported, it is in fragmented bits that do not fully-connect stories, issues, and the larger agenda of radical extremists that have used Wisconsin as "ground-zero" for economic policies that are decimating the middle class and moving more people into poverty.
Our website (www.madisonvoices.com) is all new - redesigned and now features (left column) daily updates from around the ‘net, linking to news and views impacting Madison neighborhoods, our city, Wisconsin, and the nation. We’re working to be an information “one-stop”.
VOICES Blog (www.madisonvoicesblog.com) has taken off. In order to keep up with fast-changing stories and how they affect our readers, we have launched a regularly updated blog. It includes comment sections, so please stop by and tell us what you think on any story. If you would like to submit a story for the newspaper or blog, please email us at email@example.com
VOICES TV (www.madisonvoicestv.com)
In many ways, this is our most-exciting change, we’re jumping more-fully
into webcast video. We have been providing multimedia for some stories
for years, but will be increasing the depth and scope we offer. Soon, we
will have a major announcement about our video coverage as Wisconsin
enters a historic and vibrant new age - holding elected officials
accountable to the citizens that elect them.
As always - we want to carry YOUR voice. Please contact us with what you want to share (firstname.lastname@example.org). Let’s work together in solidarity.
